Fire Proof Pallet Covers, Liners and Blankets

Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer battery fires don’t respond to traditional fire extinguishers, which makes even small lithium battery fires extremely dangerous. We have several different options for storing these batteries including covers and liners for pallets and stillages which keep the batteries safely isolated from other products within your warehouse environment. To mitigate the possibility of battery powered vehicle fires spreading, Lithium-ion fire blankets are the simplest, safest, and most effective way to isolate these fires particularly for vehicles such as e-forklifts, e-pallet trucks, EV vehicles, e-scooters, e-bikes, and any open battery fires

PROOF TESTING OF FYASHIELD FIRE PROOF LINERS

We tested our Fyashield fireproof cage liner by igniting several lithium batteries placed inside and were amazed by the ferocity of the fire and explosions from relatively small batteries.

1. We placed 3 lithium batteries in the fireproof liner and set them alight, the explosions that followed confirmed how dangerous lithium-ion batteries can be.

2. With the batteries still burning we covered the fire with the fireproof fabric and stainless-steel lid and strapped it down with Kevlar straps.

3. Over four hours later we opened the lid and found that the batteries had disintegrated with only small superficial damage to the fabric - very impressive!

Proper storage of batteries, especially damaged ones, is essential. You should either cover them with fireproof covers or store them in metal cages with fireproof liners and lids – don’t risk the alternative.

FIRE PROOF PALLET COVERS

Fyashield fire proof pallet covers are manufactured using materials that conform to the new DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11 standard giving peace of mind to insurers and warehouse managers alike. The extreme thermal resistance capabilities allow the fabric to withstand operating temperatures in excess of 1,000 degress C.

Each seam is double sewn using stainless steel and Kevlar thread to maintain the mechanical stability of the product during intense heat. The fabric has a high level of cut resistance and resists attack from chemicals and oils. They can be tailor-made to fit your specific requirements, along with metal pallets and cages to help contain any possible outbreak of fire.

Fyashield fire proof cage liners are designed to fit metal cages or stillages for the safe storage of Lithium-ion batteries and flammable substances. They are manufactured using materials that conform to the new DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11 standard giving peace of mind to insurers and warehouse managers alike.

The extreme thermal resistance capabilities allow the fabric to withstand operating temperatures in excess of 1,000 degress C. Each seam is double sewn using stainless steel and Kevlar thread to maintain the mechanical stability of the product during intense heat. The fabric has a high level of cut resistance and resists attack from chemicals and oils. The lid is reinforced with a stainless steel plate insert to contain any explosions. They can be tailor-made to fit your specific requirements, along with metal pallets and cages to help contain any possible outbreak of fire.

PASSIVE FIRE SUPPRESSION GRANULES

Fyashield mineral based suppressant granules are non-toxic and eco-friendly and can be used as a thermally stable packaging filler when Lithium-ion batteries are present.

They will smother, suppress and encapsulate Lithium-ion batteries in the event of thermal runaway and effectively bind liquids and filter gases.

We can also supply metal barrels to contain these granules to ensure the maximum protection is maintained.
