Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer battery fires don’t respond to traditional fire extinguishers, which makes even small lithium battery fires extremely dangerous. We have several different options for storing these batteries including covers and liners for pallets and stillages which keep the batteries safely isolated from other products within your warehouse environment. To mitigate the possibility of battery powered vehicle fires spreading, Lithium-ion fire blankets are the simplest, safest, and most effective way to isolate these fires particularly for vehicles such as e-forklifts, e-pallet trucks, EV vehicles, e-scooters, e-bikes, and any open battery fires

VIDEO Proof Testing of
Fyashield Fire Proof Liners
We tested our Fyashield fireproof cage liner by igniting several lithium batteries placed inside and were amazed by the ferocity of the fire and explosions from relatively small batteries.

We placed 3 lithium batteries in the fireproof liner and set them alight, the explosions that followed confirmed how dangerous lithium-ion batteries can be.

With the batteries still burning we covered the fire with the fireproof fabric and stainless-steel lid and strapped it down with Kevlar straps.

Over four hours later we opened the lid and found that the batteries had disintegrated with only small superficial damage to the fabric - very impressive!
Proper storage of batteries, especially damaged ones, is essential. You should either cover them with fireproof covers or store them in metal cages with fireproof liners and lids – don’t risk the alternative.

Fire Blankets for Lithium-ION Fires
Palband’s Fyashield lithium fire blankets provide vital protection against the risks of lithium-ion battery fires in e-bikes, e-scooters, EVs, and material handling equipment. Engineered to withstand temperatures over 1,000°C, the blankets are manufactured with stainless steel thread, Kevlar stitching, and comply with DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11 standards. Designed for quick two-person deployment, they contain flames, heat, smoke, and potential explosions, helping to limit fire spread in warehouses, workshops, logistics hubs, and charging areas. While they do not extinguish fires, they create valuable containment and time for safe evacuation or further intervention. Supplied in compact red kit bags, Fyashield blankets are reusable for drills or training but must be replaced after use in an active fire.
